This nautical flag pole was erected by the sailors association of Basel-Kleinhüningen in 1979. It is 19 meters high. It has the flag of Switzerland and of many shipping companies that call this port; on holidays the number of flags can go up to 100 and before Christmas the pole is temporarily converted into a huge Christmas tree.
