A communal washing area that was used by the peasants and workers for the lord and lady to clean clothes. It is now currently being restored to how it looked hundreds of years ago.

They have such interesting items as vintage mangles, a steam pot, a number of wash baskets and no less than 8, yes 8 sinks!
How could they have ever have managed.
They have an audio tour that lets you know how they got through the 7 day cycle of washing and how they needed to keep the standard of cleaning far better for the lord and lady who lived in the castle nearby. The wash room was used by the entire estate of people who lived here, be it peasants doing their draws, or the castle workers cleaning the fine linen for the Castle.
They even have a line depicting how a week of washing was lined up.
