Opened in 1904, the English Methodist Church was replaced a chapel in Market Street which opened in 1868 and was extended in 1890. The earlier building is now known as the Memorial Hall which is next door and dates to roughly the turn of the 19th Century.
The church overlooks the River Dee that flows west to east, to the north of the church. From the looks of it 'worshipping by the Dee' seems to be somewhat of a catch phrase for the church.
They also have a number of plaques facing the path way to the north, not something I agree with, but obviously part of their faith.

With thanks to their website (listed below) for the history and dates, and www.llangollenmuseum.org.uk for the information.
