Na pardubickém hrbitove je pohrben prvni rakousky dustojnik, který padnul v bitvách v roce 1866.
Major Franz von Panz padnul u obce Dlouhy Most u Jablonce nad Nisou. Vojáci ho pohrbili a posléze jeho telo zhruba za mesíc privezl pardubický obcan jeho rodine. Pohrben byl nejdríve u kostela sv. Jana Krtitele, posléze je prevezen na hrbitov v Jesnicánkách.
