A set of three buildings that were lodgings for the workers for the mine to the south west of here. One building was for storage and processing the nearby rock and one was a cook house.
The buildings are made of slate stone, a material that would have been mined off the nearby area, probably make from the material to first come out of the mine that wasn't 'up-to- being sold.
The first building was right beside the old rail track and housed up to 30 men. The second was a cook house and is barely left anymore. The third was used for processing the rock and making it ready onto carts for the steam tram that used to go along between these buildings.
