This small village is made up of a number of workers’ house originally built for the Low Mill. The nearby large woollen mill has now been converted into apartments. It lies on the outskirts of Addingham.
This forms part of the Dales Way long distance footpath. As you leave the road from the village there is a footpath that leads to the River Wharfe. There is a small set of 3 steps leading to the river, and next to that a ramp for wheelchairs and bikes. This stretch of concrete leads to the steps and the ramps if you are walking from Ilkley to Addingham, the first short stretch of the Dales Way.
If you walk the path the other way round you will see it as you enter the village having just come up the steps or the ramp.
The dog obviously couldn't be bothered to let the concrete dry.
