The Deem Hills Recreation Area is one of Phoenix's newest trail systems, having been completed in early 2011. There are about 9 miles of trails that circumnavigate and criss cross Deem Hills giving a variety of possible routes. The trails are 4' wide and smooth though they are littered with rocks. In general the grades are gradual, so most of the trail system is rideable, especially for the more fit cyclist.
