These great distance and direction arrows are located on the grounds of the Harrison County Historical Museum and Welcome Center which is located on Rt. 30, the historic Lincoln Highway. It is located behind the parking area where all ages will enjoy the cut-out old tyme car poster, paved roadway play area, Burma Shave advertising plaques and this great distance arrow sign. Each end of the Lincoln Highway, San Francisco and New York, have an arrow as well as other stops along the historic route, Omaha, Clinton, and Chicago. These arrows draw attention to the significance of the historical highway; a large display board under the canopy tells more about this road. There is also a short Lincoln Highway video that is shown in the Welcome Center.

The arrow signs and museum are located about 5 miles east of Missouri Valley; one of the original cement Lincoln Highway markers is also in the complex.
