The Shin-Kobe station in Kobe Japan provide service to the JR (Sanyo Shinkansen) bullet train and the Kobe Municipal Subway. We were traveling on the Shinkansen which is a very nice way to travel. With speeds of 163 mph it don,t take too long to get to your destinations. The station is located to the north of Kobe city centre, at the foot of Mount Rokko. The Shinkansen trains mostly run inside tunnels under the mountains in this area. The station exists in a small space in between two long tunnels.
