This plaque is located at the Southeast wall of the tower of Bergün, next to the entrance. While the tower itself "La Tuér" is the landmark of this town and can be seen from all over, the entrance and the plaque are in a small pathway between the tower and the next building that is usually overlooked. I was not able to find a complete translation, I could not find the words in a Rumantsch Grischun dictionary so it must be a dialect, most probably Putér, maybe Bargunsegner.

However I try to give a rough overview of the text based on my knowledge of some related languages, although I may miss some subtleties of the orginal:

The Tower
Built around the year 1000. Heavily damaged in the fire of 1323 that also destroyed the rest of the village. It was later rebuilt and restored.
It is now listed as a protected heritage site by the Swiss federation and the canton of Grisons.

The original text:

La tuér
Construégda an tuorn igl on 1000 pagl uégs-ch da cuégra. Demolégda 1323 tres incendi cun tot Brauégn. Refazza e restaureda.
Sto sot proteczion da confederation a chanton.
