This locomotive is one of a series of 15 built between 1921 and 1929 for the narrow gauge (1000mm) lines of Rhaetian Railway. It is usually nicknamed "Rhaetian Crocodile"
It is 13.3 meters long a has a weight of 65.9 tons. No.407 was in sevice from July 1922 until December 1985. It is on public display at the road to the railway station of Bergün since 1994.
In 2012 the locomotive has been moved a few meters to the entrance area of the new railway museum, the original pictures show it still at the road.
