A wagon wheel near a black smith exhibit on the first floor of the museum. Access is free (suggested donation of £2/adult), and is disabled friendly as their is a lift access through the tourist information centre. There is also a set of stairs that access the first floor directly from the roadside. The building itself is the old theatre and cinema building, old projectors are also on show here.
The displays are from the early neolithic eara, through to bronze age, the medieval with displays of the castle and walls that used to surround the town, through to the Victorian eara and some parts of the modern day.
