This small, but important, shrine is located in central Bangkok, easily reached from the nearby skytrain station of Chitlom, and visible from the skytrain walkway. It is situated on the grounds of the Erawan Grand Hyatt Hotel, and is open to the public.

The shrine was constructed in 1956, in part to counter the bad karma of the poorly conceived construction date of the now demolished, original Erawan Hotel, built on this site. The shrine's centre piece is a four-headed statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai interpretation of Brahma.

This shrine is deeply respected by the Thai people, and attracts a large number of locals and tourists each day.
