I 1899 ble det nedsatt en komite som skulle se på nytt Rådhus. Det ble besluttet å låne 40.000 kr. muresteren som fikk anbudet satte opp huset for 34.878 kr og i 1903 stod det ferdig. Huset fikk innlagt vann i 1911 og elektrisk lys i 1913.

A committee was appointed in 1899 to look at new Town Hall. It was decided to borrow 40,000 NOK. The bricklayer who received the tender put up the house for 34,878 NOK and in 1903 it was done. The house had running water in 1911 and electric lights in 1913.
