I was up at University Hospital today and decided to hit fraternity row to add a few waymarks to my name. I found a nice group of guys at this fraternity willing to pose for a pic for me. Below is some information I found about their fraternity.
The Pi Kappa Alpha – Alpha Tau Chapter was founded on April 20, 1912 at the University of Utah. During the history of our chapter we have lived in three houses, the newest of which is located in the heart of Greek Row. Our house has the second most members on Greek Row and the second highest GPA among our 76 active members. Alpha Tau is responsible for raising thousands of dollars for the non- profit organization, Camp Hobe. This organization is a camp for kids struggling with cancer, and provides a safe atmosphere for them to have a fun camp experience. Alpha Tau’s annual Game Ball Run is the biggest fundraiser for the camp, and is held the night before the rivalry game between the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. At the end of the school year we organize a huge trip down to Lake Powell, in which roughly a hundred people attend. At the beginning of the fall semester we throw our annual “Schoolgirl Party” which is one of the biggest parties on Greek Row. In the spring semester we throw our annual “GI Joe, GI Jane Party” which is just as big.
