Courts 1 & 2 shown with the 'tennis-quick' surface which was laid in 1981. These courts have since been converted to 'Porous Kushion Acrylic' (Court 1) and 'Easi-Clay' (Court 2).
The Club has a total of 8 courts and now offers a variety of playing surfaces since being re-developed in 2007. Surfaces now includie: 3 two-tone green/red macadam; 1 New York Green macadam; 3 New York Green Porous Kusioned Acrylic courts (1 Flood-lit) and 1 French open Red Easi-clay court (Flood-lit). Aberystwyth Lawn Tennis Club has a catchment population of approximately 60,000, with members from the University seaside town of Aberystywth as well as surrounding towns and villages including Penparcau, Tregaron, Llanilar, Lledrod, Llanfarian, Borth, Bow Street, Llanafan, Capel Seion, New Quay, Lampeter, Penrhyncoch, Llanrhystud, Clarach, Llandre, Machynlleth, Pennal, and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (UWA).
The Queen's Road Tennis Courts are open to members and non-members alike.
Members pay an annual subscription and are entitled to free play at all times. Non-members pay when they play.
Players from UWA, Llandrindod, Machynlleth, and Cardigan, represent the team in the South Wales League. The Queen's Road courts are also used by the Police and Civil Service for their national tennis tournaments.
