In St. Veit treffen Bahnlinien aus drei Richtungen – Friesach, Feldkirchen und Klagenfurt – zusammen. St. Veit/Glan ist auch Fernverkehrshaltepunkt. Züge der Linie Wien - Villach halten alle 2 Stunden.
Für die S-Bahn Kärnten ist und wird St. Veit ein wichtiger Knotenpunkt. Seit 12. Dezember 2010 bietet die Linie S1 wochentags einen Halbstundentakt nach Klagenfurt und einen Stundentakt nach Friesach. Ab Dezember 2011 wird St. Veit Ausgangs- und Endpunkt der Linie S2 nach Feldkirchen, Villach und Rosenbach.

For the S-Bahn and St. Veit, Carinthia is a major hub. Since 12 December 2010 provides the line on weekdays S1 half hour to Klagenfurt and an hour to Friesach. From December 2011 St. Veit is starting and end point of the S2 line to Feldkirchen, Villach and Rosenbach.
