Comenius Monumentis an obelisk erected in 1865 on probable place of Comenius house during his hiding in this town in 1622-1625.

The obelisk was dedicated on October 5, 1865 during great feast which more then 6000 people visited. Just on the places where John Amos Comenius was hidden with his family in 1622-25 after Battle of White Mountain in 1620 when Czech protestants were persecuted all over thecountry. He wrote here one his most famous work "Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart".
