[ENG] This statue was placed by the Casino of Póvoa to celebrate 40 years of Varzim Sol which is the company that owns the casino. The statue is placed in front of the casino. It was a statue of Fernando Pessoa, because in the same year was 125 years of its birth.
Fernando Pessoa was a Portuguese poet, writer, literary critic and translator, one of the most significant literary figures of the 20th century and one of the greatest poets of all time.
