Der Reschensee (it. Lago di Resia) ist ein Stausee in der Gemeinde Graun im westlichen Südtirol. Der künstliche Stausee ist sechs Kilometer lang und an den breitesten Stellen etwa einen Kilometer breit und hat ein Wasserfassungsvermögen von 120 Mio. m³. Die Dörfer Reschen, Graun und St. Valentin auf der Haide liegen am Reschensee, wobei Reschen, Graun und die Weiler Kaschon (St. Valentin) und Spin (Graun) unmittelbar am See liegen.
Am Reschenpass gab es bis zur Seestauung 1950 drei Seen: Den Reschensee, den Mittersee (auch Grauner See genannt) und den Haidersee. Bei der Seestauung wurde das gesamte Dorf Graun und ein Großteil des Dorfes Reschen in den Fluten des Stausees versenkt. 163 Häuser wurden zerstört und 523 Hektar an fruchtbarem Kulturboden überflutet. Heute zeugt nur noch der aus dem Reschensee ragende Kirchturm vom versunkenen Alt-Graun.

The Reschensee (it. Lake Resia) is a reservoir in the town of dread in the western Tyrol. The artificial lake is six miles long and at the widest part of about a kilometer wide and has cubic meters, a water capacity of 120 million. The villages Reschen, Graun and St. Valentine are on the heath at Reschensee, with Reschen, Graun and the hamlets Kaschon (St. Valentin) and Spin (Graun) lie directly on the lake.
On Reschenpass it was up to the 1950 Seestauung three lakes: the Reschensee, the Mittersee (also called Lake Grauner) and Haider. When Seestauung the entire village of Graun and much of the village Reschen in the waters of the dam was sunk. 163 houses were destroyed and flooded 523 hectares of fertile topsoil. Today, only the outstanding testimony from the church tower from the sunken Reschensee Alt-Graun.
