The Utah Desert Tortoise (Gopherus Aagassizii) lives in the arid hills north of St George. These little guys are uniquely colored to blend right in so they are very hard to spot. The adult is anywhere from 10 to 15 inches long, and weighs from 10 to 15 lbs. They are very cute, very small, very slow, and no match for a car…
Please be vigilant while driving in Snow Canyon so as not to harm any of these little guys that may stray onto the road.
