- on top of the block there's a large eagle made of sandstone
- in front of the monument there's a "younger" plaque (sandstone) to honor the victims of WW II (text: in commemoration of the victims of WW II in Stolpen 1939-1945)

- it's situated near of a crossroad, where the Parkstraße starts
- when you stand in front of the monument, you can see the church and the castle of Stolpen
