This is the site of Mexico's first Labor Union....and a deadly strike in 1905.

The Bellavista Textile Factory is considered to be the site where the Union Movement began in Mexico. It is also notorious for the first strike in Mexico in 1905. Several of the workers were murdered in the confrontations...and the Factory Museum even displays photos of some of their bodies hanging in the trees.
The Museum doesn't have typical displays...but, much of the factory is still the way it was when the factory was abandoned many years ago as a factory...old boilers and looms, etc. There are some haphazardly posted photos documenting the strike. There doesn't seem to be an online history in English, so the following sources of additional information are in Spanish:
