The Forest of Knaresborough is an ancient forest which was said to have been one of the favourite hunting grounds of King John.

This was an ancient forest but was enclosed in the 1770s following the 1770 Enclosure Act.
Type of survey mark: Carved stone.

Easily spotted at the side of the road on the Belmont park side at the foot of a large tree.
