In the 13th century border fortress was built. Golden Age experienced a fortress in the 15th century, when the castle was owned Garayových dynasty. After a few still owned by the family. The castle can be considered the end of the year 1809, when the castle was destroyed by Napoleon's army. Since then the castle fell into decay.
