Theodorskirche is the oldest church in the Northern quarters of Basel. It was first documented around 1100, but during renovations some tombs were found from the 8th century.
There is no cemetery near the church anymore, but about a dozen tombstones and coffin lids, most of them of honorable burghers are on display at the outer walls of the church.
