Moonville Tunnel - Abandoned Train Tunnels on Waymarking.com

The Moonville Tunnel attracts many visitors. The stories vary, but legend has it a railroad employee was killed, and his ghost can be seen waving a lantern. Other stories tell of a lady in white that can be spotted along the tracks.

The tunnel was originally built around 1855, by the B&O Railroad. In 1903 the tunnel was rebuilt after a partial collapse, with the brick lining that is still present. The rails were removed in the late 1980's by CSX.
