This is a out of use spring next to the road from Évora to Beja.
In the old days the animals would drink here, later people washed their cars and nowadays it just sits there with a sign forbidding the carwashing activity and another that the water is improper for consumption.
This last sign may be due to the lack of testing of the water instead of the water actually being harmful.

If you look at the map you see 5+1 tiny dots to N-NW - these are the actual springs, with little protective towers over them.

The site is often used by the local police force (GNR) for traffic control, hence the name of the local geocache.
Public or Private Land?: Public

Public Land Fees?: No fee.

Private Land access?: Next to the IP2 road.

Visit Instructions:
Please post an original picture of the springs no GPS necessary along with your observations of the spring. What wildlife you saw if any and the condition of the springs. Water level was high, low. The area was clean, trashy ect. Any other knowledge or experiences you have had with this paticular spring that would help document it's history.
