Miroslav Tyrš (1832-1884) was the founder of Sokol athletic clubs, the first Czech athletic association.
In woods on Knihov hill above Zdice town there is a simple monolith with metal plaque with his portrait and years 1832-1932, placed at occassion of 100 years anniversary of Tyrš's birth.
