The fountain ensemble created by sculptor Reinhard Dietrich had been initiated in the 70s in the city center of Rostock, since 1984 it's a declared listed monument.

In the course of the new building of the Kröpeliner-Tor-Center KTC the fountain ensemble was moved for a short time and the sculpture is since the 7th May, 2008 again at its original place.

Reinhard Dietrich born in 1932 in Wroclaw had studied from 1953 to 1958 at the college for Plastic Arts Dresden. Since 1964 he was freelance artistically active. From 1964 to 2003 he lived in Kneese Ausbau near Rostock. Now he lives in Pillnitz near Dresden.
