As with most small schools, they get merged with other schools in the area. The current St John’s primary school is in a new building more suited to modern teaching conditions and was opened in 2003.
This old school which was originally a Sunday school built in 1819, and has now been given a new lease of life.
The charity shop opened in April 2010 and the funds from the shop are used by the church itself, but also for community projects.
