This is the main War Memorial in Aylesbury Town Centre, it was erected on 21st September 1921.
The plaques at the base have the names of men who died in the First World War and later those who dies in the Second World War were added.
This is the Memorial at which the towns main Act of Remembrance takes place, with a march past and wreath laying ceremony on Remembrance Sunday and we gather in the Market Square for 2 minutes silence at 11.00am on 11/11 each year.
The Plaque in the centre reads 'Their Memory Lives For Ever more'
