movable bridge, re-inaugurated on July 30, 2007. This bridge is the only crossing that allows pedestrian traffic between Matosinhos, Leca da Palmeira, and is the 4th largest bascule bridge in the world with a span of 92 meters.

?The hydraulic system which replaced the previous bridge, which had been 50 years, reduced from six to four minutes the time of opening and closing of the board moving, minimizing the impact on traffic ponte. Permite the simultaneous extension of the fairway 59 to 77.5 meters, significantly increasing the capacity of the port of Leixoes and making possible the entry of larger vessels.
