The stone cross was erected here in 1798 just in front of one of former gates into the town and at a bridge across one of the branches of Morava river which flow through thr Litovel.

The royal town of Litovel is situated in the center of the north-western part of Haná, in the valley of the Morava river whose six branches flow through the town, approximately 20 km far from Olomouc. These branches provide the town with a unique impression. Litovel is known as the Venice of Haná.
Just next to bridge across one of the river branches (called "Valchovní" rameno) has stood a nice stone cross from 1798, as it is in Latin written on back side of the cross' pedestal. On the front side of pedestal is engraved scene depicting Sepulture of Jesus and there is Latin inscription under the picture "The Crucified God, redeem all citizens of the Litovel city and carry them in Glory".

Characteristics of this cross: Stone Cross with crucified Jesus and on the padestal there are Latin inscriptions with "prayers" and the date of the cross erection. On the fron of pedestal there is an engraved scene from the "Sepulture of Jesus".
