Tunnel in Vysne Hagy was on turning from rail route Stary Smokovec - Strbske Pleso in the Medical Institute area. Served to transport a cargo and other things to sanatorium.
Sanatorium for pulmonary disease has been started in year 1934 near village Vysne Hagy. Railyard was augmented, new shunt and 500 meters railyard was built till end of the year 1935.
About 100 meters before end of siding rail in heating plant was branching-off under sanatorium to its basement. Lenght of tunnel is 170 meters. Tunnel is from contrate with active lightning and big wooden door. Tunnel is not used with train. Rails endind before tunnel.

Tunel vo Vysnych Hagoch sa nachadzal na byvalej odbocke trate Stary Smokovec - Strbske Pleso, v areali Liecebneho ustavu. Patril pod spravu Tatranskych elektrickych zeleznic (TEz). Sluzil len na dopravu potravin a dalsieho tovaru pre sanatorium.
V roku 1934 sa zacala vystavba sanatoria pre plucne choroby v osade Vysne Hagy. Do roku 1935 rozsirili kolajisko a vyhybnu a postavili 500 vlecky na stavenisko.
Asi sto metrov pred koncom vlecky veducej do kotolne, uvratou spat odbocovala kolaj do pivnice budovy sanatoria. Dzka tunela je cca 170 m. Trat nemala byt elektrifikovana z dovodu mensieho profilu. Tunnel uz vlak nepouziva. Kolaje koncia pred tunelom.
