The New Brunswick Bicentennial was celebrated in 1984 and many towns and villages commemorated the event with public works. This park was built and the Time Capsule installed with the help of the local Rotary Club.
The plaque stipulates that the capsule will be opened every 25 years, in 2009, 2034 and then it skips to 2084!
