Dom Frei Francisco de São Luís Saraiva, O.S.B. (Ponte de Lima, 26 de Janeiro de 1766 - Lisboa, 7 de Maio de 1845), mais conhecido como o Cardeal Saraiva, foi o oitavo Patriarca de Lisboa.

[PT]Nascido Francisco Manuel Justiniano Saraiva, entrou para o Mosteiro de São Martinho de Tibães, da Ordem de São Bento, em 6 de Abril de 1780, com apenas 14 anos, alterando o seu nome para Francisco de São Luís Saraiva. Professou em 28 de Janeiro de 1782; saiu de Tibães para o Mosteiro de Santo André de Rendufe e daí para a Faculdade de Teologia da Universidade de Coimbra, onde se licenciou em 3 de Julho de 1792, tendo-se tornado aí professor, e sócio correspondente da Academia das Ciências de Lisboa.
Em 19 de Abril de 1822, foi nomeado bispo de Coimbra; entretanto fora também designado reitor da Universidade daquela cidade e deputado às Cortes (1823). Resignou ao episcopado em 30 de Abril de 1824.
Em 1840, por pressão de D. Maria II, foi feito Patriarca de Lisboa, título em que foi confirmado em 3 de Abril de 1843. Mais tarde nesse ano, em 19 de Junho de 1843, o Papa Gregório XVI elevou-o ao cardinalato
[ENG]Born Francisco Manuel Justiniano Saraiva, entered to the monastery of São Martinho de Tibães of the Order of São Bento, on April 6, 1780, with only 14 years, changing is name to Francisco de São Luís Saraiva. Professed on 28 January 1782; Left the Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães and went to the Monastery of Santo André de Rendufe and thence to the Faculty of Theology, University of Coimbra, where he graduated in July 3, 1792, and became a professor there, and partner of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon.
On April 19, 1822, was appointed bishop of Coimbra, but was also appointed dean of the University of that city and deputy to the Cortes (1823). He resigned to the episcopate on 30 April 1824.
In 1840, under pressure from D. Maria II, was made Patriarch of Lisbon, where the title was confirmed on April 3, 1843. Later that year, on June 19, 1843, Pope Gregory XVI elevated him to cardinal.
