In addition to being close to the beach, this hotel is near many cafes, restaurants and bars. This comfortable, quiet hotel is a great deal. Christmas week (the high season) rates were $99...for a large room next to the courtyard and pool. Wi-fi is free in the courtyard...and the rooms surrounding it. The hotel also operates a hostel below the hotel rooms.
The front desk is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The staff were also very helpful and attentive.

Justification for Recommendation:
I stayed here for three nights during Christmas week 2010. Prices were much lower than most other options, the location is perfect...and the place was quiet--despite the prescense of a hostel with mostly young people underneath.
