Kostel sv. Petra a Pavla se nachází na Byšickách, jak je nazýváno návrší s poutním kostelíkem, a patrí k nejstarším památkám na Podzvicinsku. První zmínka o nem pochází z r. 1267. Puvodne to byl románský kostelík, z nehož dodnes zbyla rotundovitá apsida na východní strane kostela, která preckala všechny pozdejší obnovy a prestavby. Kostel mel puvodne jen drevenou zvonici, která stála oddelene v jižní cásti hrbitova. Koncem 13. století byl pristaven gotický presbytár a lod, upravená v roce 1718. V 19. století byl kostelík již znacne zchátralý. V roce 1854 byla postavena hranolovitá vež s novým zvonem a to náhradou za památný, ze zvonice ukradený.
U bocního vchodu do kostela je nápadný velký kámen se dvema dolíky, jakoby vytlacenými stálým klecením. Kámen je možno považovat za hrícku prírody. POdle povestí jsou dolíky na kameni otisky kolen sv. Petra, patrona kostela, který na nem vklece prosil o smilování nad vesnickou a kostelíkem. Vesnicka mela být potrestána za to, že vesnicané vedli nezrízený život v dobe bohoslužeb vyhledávali krcmu a vedli rouhavé reci. Svatý Petr kostelík zachránil, ale vesnicka se i s obyvateli propadla.
Pro turisty je to velice zajímavé místo, protože odsud je krásný výhled po Belohradské kotline. K západu je videt jicínský vrch Veliš, vpravo Zebín, Bradlec, Tábor a zrícenina hradu Kumburk. K východu je videt nejvyšší vrchol zdejší krajiny - Zvicina. Na hrbitove pri kostelíku jsou pochováni hudební skladatel Karel Moor a spisovatelka dr. Leontina Mašínová.
Byšicky inspirovaly básníka Karla Jaromíra Erbena, rodáka z nedalekého Miletína. Váže se k nim jeho balada Svatební košile.
Na Byšickách se konaly slavné poute. V srpnu roku 1933 se zde konal dokonce i letecký den.

St. Peter and Paul is located on Bysickáy - as the hill is called the pilgrimage church, and one of the oldest monuments in Podzvicinsko. The first mention of it dates back to the 1267th It was originally Romanesque church of which still remained rotundovitá apse on the eastern side of the church, which survived all the subsequent rehabilitation and reconstruction. The church was originally a wooden bell tower, which stood apart in the southern part of the cemetery. Late 13 Century Gothic chancel was built, and the ship, prepared in 1718. In the 19th century church was already well in ruins. In 1854 was built prismatic tower with a bell and a new replacement for a memorable, stolen from the bell tower.
The side entrance to the church is remarkable for a large stone with two hollow, as if beaten constant kneeling. Stone can be considered a freak of nature. According to legend, the stone is hollow impressions of St knees. Peter, the patron saint of the church, who shall knees begging for mercy over the village and church. The village should be punished for it, the villagers led a dissolute life at the time of worship and seek pub led blasphemous speech. St. Peter Church saved, but the village with residents failed.
For tourists it is a very interesting place, because here is a beautiful view of the valley Belohradský. To the west is seen Jicin's Veliš Hill, right, Zebina, Bradlec camp and ruins Kumburk. To the east is seen the highest peak of the landscape - Zvicina. In the cemetery are buried in the church music composer and writer Charles Moor, dr. Leontina Mašínová.
Bysicky inspired poet Karel Jaromir Erben, a native of nearby Miletín. It binds them to the ballad's Bride.
The Byšickách the famous pilgrimage place. In August 1933 there took place even airshow.
