St. Finghin's Church was built between 1278 and 1287 by Thomas de Clare. The church was dedicated to a long-forgotten saint in the early Irish church. The parish church was rectangular in shape with a narrow tower added in the 15th century. The church now is surrounded by an active cemetery. The west wall of the church is now missing along with any roof structure.
