As time moved on other European countries began to compete with Bradford and its position as the world leader began to wane. A 100 years later Bradford joined together with Ilkley College and became Bradford and Ilkley Community College. The satellite Ilkley campus was closed in 1999 and soon after the name changed to Bradford College.
