Consisting of a human figure something intimate, fused into a composite organic rock, which is intended to represent one of the local election of the poet "the cliffs of San Pedro de Moel, which are based on the poet's hands clasped his face in support of contemplative dreamy look, revealing that Joaquim Correia designed this composition had a substantial knowledge of the experience of the poet and his literary work.

History: Afonso Lopes Vieira (1878-1946), poet born in Leiria, one of the main representatives of "neogarrettismo", he majored in law at the University of Coimbra (1894-1900), then go live in Lisbon, where he served in writer in the House until 1916, this date is dedicated exclusively to literary activity, producing a vast body of work. The work was initially placed in the garden of Leiria, along the river Lis, only later was transferred to the place where it is today.
