Fort Wilhelma near the village of Huta was built by order of Frederick William II between 1790-1795. The builder was a lieutenant, Gustav von Rauch, later general and Prussian Minister of War. Preserved is moat, part of the walls and corridors.

Fort William near the village of Huta was built by order of Frederick William II. Built between 1790-1795 in the work of fortification designed to secure the border of Silesia against the army of Austria. The builder was a lieutenant, Gustav von Rauch, later general and Prussian Minister of War. Fort was based on the projection of three staggered rectangles offset, surrounded by ramparts and a dry moat. During the Napoleonic Wars, the fort did not play any role for the military. Over the years, was abandoned and almost fell into disrepair. Preserved is moat, part of the walls and corridors.

PL: Fort Wilhelma w poblizu wsi Huta w Górach Bystrzyckich zostal wzniesiony z rozkazu Fryderyka Wilhelma II. Powstal w latach 1790-1795 w ramach prac fortyfikacyjnych majacych zabezpieczyc granice Slaska przed wojskami austriackimi. Budowniczym byl porucznik Gustaw von Rauch, pózniejszy general i pruski minister wojny. Fort byl prostym zalozeniem opartym na rzucie trzech prostokatów przesunietych schodkowo, otoczonych walem i sucha fosa. W czasie wojen napoleonskich fort nie odegral zadnej roli militarnej. Z biegiem lat zostal opuszczony i stopniowo popadal w ruine. Ostatecznie w drugiej polowie XIX w. postanowiono go rozebrac. Z pozyskanego kamienia zbudowano w 1875 r. most kolejowy i szkole w Bystrzycy Klodzkiej.
