The Scots Church was built i 1854 to serve the local Presbyterians. The church continued to serve that role until 1969 when it closed due to decreasing congregation size. The building was reopened in 1973 as the Cobh Museum which features the town's cultural and maritime history. Many of the church's features including the pulpit, lectern, harmonium and original bible remain in place in the museum.
