The Arts Faculty is centred in the Arts building of the University of Western Australia. Arts includes history, literature, languages, philosophy, and music. The Arts building was part of the post World War Two boom in Western Australia, which saw an increase in population and facilities in the State.
This building was dedicated by Sir Robert Menzies, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, in 1964. This building, unlike some of the more recent construction, was built in the original University style, with limestone.
The Arts Building is a rather long building, three story construction, with a courtyard, lecture theatres, offices, and peacocks (and peahens).
