Werder upon Havel has been a fishing town for almost 1,000 years and people travel long ways to enjoy the freshest eel or pike one can imagine.

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and also sells fish to go. The smoking ovens are old and huge and customers can visit the entire process.

Only the best wood and the freshest fish is used.

We couldn't resist taking a picture of the somewhat graphic display on the chopping block - we think it adds to the rustic attire of the place.
