A pair of these great lions flank the sidewalk leading to the Szechwan Chinese Restaurant in Sioux Falls. The lion has long been the symbol for power and protection from evil spirits. Statues of lions often guarded the palaces and temples in China. Male lions are often portrayed with a ball at the right paw as these are. This duo can be found at the Kiwanis Avenue entrance on the west side of the restaurant.
