Hillarys Boat Harbour is a major recreation and tourist locale located to the north west, on the coast, of the capital city of the State of Western Australia, Perth. Amongst the many features and attractions of the Harbour is a direction and distance arrow. This arrow gives directions to cities in south-east Asia and Australia. Easily found near the water.
Historic significance:
This marker was placed by the State government, which owns the marina. I am unsure of the exact date, however, well after the original construction date of 1987. Part of the motivation for constructing the marina was to ready Perth for the America's cup contest of 1987.
