This mound was found by a campaign, which took place in 2002, led by Dr. Georgi Kitov. It's from the 5th or 4th century BC.
The temple is part of a larger Thracian cult center which has sites all around this area. However, this is the only known Thracian temple featuring a colonnade, in Doric style. It's smaller than Chetinyova Mound (in the vicinities) but also impresses, with its beautiful columns and the rooms built with big stone blocks, all with precise rectangular shape.
