Fort Virgin Hand Pump - Virgin UT - Hand Operated Water Pumps on Waymarking.com

This is a good place to stop and stretch your legs on your way to Zion National Park. The old hand pump is located at a tourist stop off Highway 9 just outside Virgin UT. The pump is part of an enclosed area that is a mock western town, you have to pay a nominal fee to enter the mock town and petting zoo area. There are covered wagons, a tee pee and more. Good place to let the kids play. The pump is staged by a horse trough.
